Drylands is a great looking new title launching for iOS on the 21st of May by Angry Bugs, a two man team hailing from Argentina. The team’s name suggests they might be Angry Bird clone specialists, but it couldn’t be further from the truth.
Drylands is a ridiculously good looking action platformer that is set in a post apocalyptic world filled with mutants, exploding barrels and radiation induced psychosis.
The game is played out in a Metroidvania designed, non-linear world, with the developers drawing inspiration from Fallout, Borderlands, and movies like Mad Max to bring this tale to life.
What makes this game special is it’s strong focus story telling, rather than the all to common, mind numbing action
The game was actually released last week but had some issues with a sudden iOS minor update, so it’s now being re-released. Damn you apple, damn you to hell.
It’s clear a lot of work went into this project and it has been hot on our lips over at I.G.B headquarters.
All the best with the re-launch Angry Bugs, we hope you find the app store glory you deserve.
Support these guys, they are Indie to the bone!
